Use the experience as an opportunity to learn as well as showcase your abilities. There are bound to be differences in how you and your predecessor work but this can be a good thing. Depending on how your employers view this role, it’s important to demonstrate why you are an asset to them. You never know, if impressed, your employers may want to create a new job tailored to your unique skill set when your cover role comes to an end.
