We are looking to recruit Electrical Engineers for a Midlands based company.
Our client is a small company that has a very prestigious client list including Siemens Gamesa, Vodafone, UK Ministry of Defence (Navy, Marines, RAF) and the European Space Agency among others.
They have an R&D focus, particularly in the areas of unmanned air, ground, sea and subsea vehicles, control systems, sensors and digital AI/ML. With continued expansion of the company, they are looking to bring in exceptional individuals who can work through the complete lifecycle of projects.

This role is for someone who likes to work with mechanical and electrical items so previous experience of building things yourself is highly desirable.

Role will commence as part time during studies extending out to either a summer role, gap year or full-time post-studies role.
As an Electrical Engineer in the team, the individual will get involved in all aspects of the technical development of their assets.

This may well include, but not be limited by the following:
* Design of mechanical and electrical systems for use on marine, air, subsea and ground vehicles.
* Schematic design and PCB layout of analog, RF and mixed-signal circuits.
* Component identification (sourcing components from online sources) and validating the integration of each as a complete system. This will include component testing and integration tests.
* Design for manufacture
* Physical building (from prototype to full pre-production models) of different systems and subsystems to be included in the rest of the asset.
* Working with other members of the team from design (spatial integration), to structural (integration with the body and other components), to information systems (supporting the onboard IT, IS and AI)
Please note, this role requires the individual to be confident in actually building things.

This is not a research role, paperwork typically covers ~10-15% of activity.
This role is for someone who likes to work with mechanical and electrical items so previous experience of building things yourself is highly desirable.
A Masters student with at least a 2:1 in their Batchelors degree or a third year student with an extensive portfolio outside of university studies, this may include building your own drone, RC car, electronics boards, robotics etc.

Individual must demonstrate a strong level of detail and precision in their work as well as a capability of working to deadlines.

Individual must be competent in working with logical sequencing for the assets they work on maximising the technology solutions, building in redundancy and strength for extreme environments.
Individual must have a good knowledge of mixed-signal PCB design and layout for low emissions, reliable performance and volume manufacturing.

They expect their team members to see their role as more than just a job but demonstrate a passion for quality and take pride in their work.
* These are not traditional graduate jobs with a minor role in a project, you will be expected to keep up with the rest of the team from day 1.
* You will be expected to manage your work life balance, support is given, but you must be organised.
* These are not student projects; this is not academic grading. Your capability will be tested every single day.
* While the roles given are an accurate description they need hands on people who want to learn something new and are willing to ‘muck in’ to get things over the line, whether that means supporting another colleague, manually building something or just making coffee, they work as a team.
You will be required to work from the site in Nuneaton 3 days a week.
