Time2Grow Internships are only open to graduates who reside in the South East Midlands area.

All Time2Grow Internships are 28 hours per week for 10 weeks. The rate of pay is £11 per hour with an additional £1.33 per hour holiday pay.

Nutshell are a fun and engaging design and marketing agency based in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes that have developed an online primary school literacy resource that inspires young people to write. Topic Heroes is a creative way to inspire children and get them excited about writing through topic-based learning. An adventure like no other, it starts online and finishes on the bookshelf.
Having conducted a pilot with various schools with researchers from University of Bedfordshire supporting this study we now require a literacy expert to join our team to help support us in providing a variety of ways.
Such as, delivery of the final pilot in September which will involve project management with various schools (if we recruit in time), book topic worksheets and template structure and marketing/comms content support to ensure we are communicating the right educational message.

Knowledge of the interests, characteristics and attributes of children in the upper primary age range (application, interview, task)

Knowledge of National Curriculum (particularly literacy) requirements for key Stage 2 ( application, interview, task)

Understanding of equity and diversity issues and how these might be represented in visual and written forms (application, interview, task)

Show judgement in knowing when to seek support (interview)


Be able to write clear notes to support coaches, teachers and children as they develop their books (task)

Communicate with a range of partners clearly and in a timely fashion, verbally and in writing (interview, task)

Formulate reports and action plans (application, interview, task)

Analyse quantitative and qualitative data (interview, task)

Have an awareness of GDPR and copyright issues (interview)

Be able to guide the educational direction of the design and software programming team to ensure diverse and accurate representations in image bank choices (interview, task)

Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the working environment.
