The University of Warwick is looking for Arrivals Weekend Assistants to support the smooth running of their busy undergraduate arrivals weekend.

Candidates will be required to support the Accommodation, Residential Life and Global Engagement teams in a number of tasks including welcoming new students and their families, manual handling and managing car park flow.

You must be available to work 30th September and 1st October and attend one training session prior to your start date. This will take place on the afternoon of Friday 29th September. Please only apply only if you are able to work these dates.

Please note that a Cover Letter is required as a part of your application as well.
• Helping new students and their families move belongings into their student accommodation,

• Managing university car park flow across campus,

• Guiding students and their families to designated areas on campus,

• Being a point of contact for students should any problems arise during the process.
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Helpful, enthusiastic and friendly personality, particularly when dealing with nervous students and/or parents,

• Excellent team working skills,

• Reliability,

• Excellent time management skills,

• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment,

• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service,

• Ability to work to Health and Safety regulations, particularly when lifting and carrying heavy items.

Well-rounded knowledge of the Warwick campus will be advantageous.
The University of Warwick
There will be 3 shift patterns over the weekend. You must be available to work one shift per day.

The patterns are:

Saturday 30th September:
Shift 1 helpers = 08:30 – 13:30 (5hrs)
Shift 2 helpers = 10:00 – 15:00 (5hrs)
Shift 3 helpers = 13:00 – 18:00 (5 hrs)

Sunday 1st October:
Shift 1 helpers = 08:30 – 13:00 (4.5hrs)
Shift 2 helpers = 10:00 – 15:00 (5hrs)
Shift 3 helpers = 12:30 – 17:00 (4.5hrs)
