Some of our positions may have an occupational requirement for applicants to have a driving licence. Information from this section will only be considered when driving is an essential part of the job.
If you answer yes, then a confidential letter will be posted to your registered home address requesting you to list your unspent criminal convictions and their dates. Please could you then return this to us in the prepaid envelope provided or bring it in to your local Unitemps branch. The information you give will be treated in confidence and only taken into account where, in the reasonable opinion of Unitemps, the offence is relevant to the post for which you are applying. Failure to declare a conviction may require us to exclude you from our register or terminate an assignment if the offence is not declared but later comes to light.
The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 lists certain positions, professions and offices to which the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 does not apply. For those positions where a Disclosure is required, all job adverts will contain a statement that a Disclosure will be requested in the event of the individual being offered the position.
